Sharp increase in Producer Price Index (PPI) during 2025

RAMALLAH, January 29, 2026 (WAFA) - The overall PPI in Palestine reached 199.93 in 2025, which indicates a sharp increase by 32.90% compared to 2024, according to a report issued by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

Prices of the Producer Price Index (PPI) for 2025 rose sharply, driven by increases in the prices of goods and services in several key sectors. Agriculture, forestry, and fishing activities recorded the highest rise at 59.25%, followed by manufacturing activities at 12.18%, and electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply activities at 4.18%.

In contrast, water supply; sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities decreased by 0.80%, while mining and quarrying activities saw a slight decline of 0.07% compared to 2024.

The prices of locally consumed products sharply increased by 35.22% and the prices of local exported products increased by 3.89%.
