HEBRON, January 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed the towns of Sa’ir and Ash-Shuyukh, northeast of Hebron, and raided the family home of Qusay Halaika, who was shot and killed by Israeli forces last night, detaining two of his brothers.
In Hebron city, the forces seized a five-storey residential building belonging to the Al-Rajbi family in the Jabal Johar area and turned it into a military outpost after forcing its residents to evacuate.
The occupation forces also raided several homes, a printing press, and commercial shops in the Bir Harm al-Rama area and at the northern entrance of the city, conducting searches and deliberately vandalizing property.
Israeli forces also detained four other residents following raids on their homes and the ransacking of their contents.
Israeli forces late Wednesday night stormed the home of Qusay Halaika, 28, in the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces, deploying several military vehicles, spread across multiple neighborhoods in Sa’ir and raided the home of Halaika’s family, detaining and physically assaulting its members after searching the house and vandalizing its contents.
The occupation forces also imposed a complete closure on the area, forcing shop owners to shut their businesses, restricting residents’ movement, and detaining several young men for field interrogation.
