RAMALLAH, January 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists raided the outskirts of the town of Birzeit, north of Ramallah, on Tuesday, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA that several colonists stormed the town from the Atara military checkpoint and carried out provocative acts against the residents.
On Saturday, four citizens, including a woman and her son, were injured and three others were detained in an attack carried out by colonists and Israeli occupation forces on the town of Birzeit.
Security and local sources told WAFA that colonists attacked a house on the outskirts of Birzeit, near the Atara military checkpoint, and threw stones at its residents, who rushed to confront the attack.
The attack left an elderly woman critically injured after a colonist struck her on the head with a stone. She was transferred to a hospital in Ramallah. Her son and two other young men were also injured during the attack.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.
The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned.
Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
