GAZA, January 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Monday evening shot and killed a Palestinian in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

They said that the occupation forces opened fire at a Palestinian beyond their areas of deployment, killing him and bringing the number of Palestinians killed since Monday morning to three in the Strip.

They added that victims were still buried under the rubble and in roads as rescue teams were still unable to reach them.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, killing 71,660 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 171,419 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
