RAMALLAH, January 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Monday assaulted Jerusalem Water Undertaking (JWU) staff at the Ein Samia area, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, according to the JWU.

It said that colonists attacked its staff while conducting maintenance work for a water well in the area, disrupting water supplies to over 19 communities for the second consecutive day.

It added that the assailants fenced off two water wells in the area, denying JWU staff access to continue maintenance work and compounding the water crisis in the area.

It called for urgent practical action to protect water wells and its staff against colonist attacks and ensure the immediate and safe resumption of water supply to the Palestinian communities.
