HEBRON, January 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists erected a tent near a home in Jabal Johar, east of Hebron, on Sunday evening, in preparation for expanding the Havat Gad colony. They also continued repeated attacks on the homeowners and other residents in the area.

Sadiq Younis Idris told WAFA that a group of colonists continues its daily attacks on his family's home, as part of attempts to seize it and expand the Havat Gad colony, which was established about two years ago on Palestinian-owned land in the Jabal Johar area, east of the city.

Idris indicated that the colonists erected the tent just meters from his house, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, who threatened to shoot him if he approached the tent or the colonists.

Idris expressed his fears that the colonists might commit a crime against his family, especially since they assaulted him the previous day, breaking his hand, and injuring his daughter.
