JERUSALEM, January 25, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian was injured and another arrested Sunday evening in the Jabal al-Baba community in al-Eizariya, south of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that Israeli occupation forces opened fire on shepherds from the Jabal al-Baba Bedouin community while they were grazing their sheep in Wadi al-Hawd, adjacent to the community.
One shepherd was wounded, and another was arrested.
The statement added that this attack is another in a series of ongoing violations targeting Palestinian Bedouin communities around Jerusalem, particularly shepherds, as part of a repressive policy aimed at restricting their livelihoods and forcibly displacing them from their lands and grazing areas.
