JERUSALEM, January 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists attacked the Bedouin community of Khallet Al-Sadra near the town of Mikhmas, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Saturday night, assaulting several homes and animal shelters and vandalizing solar panels and surveillance cameras, some of which were seized.
The Jerusalem Governorate said the attack came after Israeli occupation forces raided the community earlier in the evening, forced foreign solidarity activists to leave, and informed residents that the area had been declared a closed military zone for one year.
Residents were handed an official order banning the presence of any person in the community.
It added that, following a previous colonist attack days earlier, the governorate, in cooperation with partner institutions including the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, carried out a field visit to assess damage and identify residents’ urgent needs and began efforts to provide assistance.
Supplies needed to rebuild the damaged homes were scheduled to arrive on Sunday, but the decision to declare the area a closed military zone will prevent their entry.
In recent days, several residents and two foreign activists were injured, while multiple homes and two vehicles were set on fire during a colonist attack on the community.
