GAZA, January 24, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from the Israeli ongoing aggression has risen to 71,654 Palestinians, with 171,391 reported wounded, since the beginning of the offensive on October 7, 2023, according to medical sources.
They affirmed that four new fatalities were received at Gaza hospitals over the past 48 hours, along with 12 new injuries. A number of victims remain trapped under rubble or lying in the streets, as ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them due to the massive destruction and the absence of supplies.
Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, the number of fatalities has increased to 481 with 1,313 injuries, while 713 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble.
A three-month-old Ali Abu Zur passed away due to severe cold at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, bringing the number of infant deaths from the cold since the beginning of winter season to 10.
