Israeli colonists graze their sheep on Palestinian residents' lands near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, January 24, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists grazed their sheep on Palestinian-owned land in the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, on Saturday.

Sinjil Mayor Mu'taz Tawafsha told WAFA that colonists grazed their sheep near Palestinian homes in the northern part of the town, specifically in the areas of Abu al-Awf and Sha'ab al-Nimr, damaging crops.

Tawafsha noted that since October 7, 2023, the Israeli authorities have prevented Palestinians from accessing this land, which spans 8,000 dunams, after declaring it a closed military zone. The land is located only 200 meters from Palestinian homes.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission documented 766 colonist attacks last month, concentrated in the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorates (195 attacks), Nablus (179 attacks), and Hebron (126 attacks).
