Israeli colonists vandalize a mosque in Nablus-district town

NABLUS, January 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Friday vandalized a mosque in Khirbet Tana locality in Beit Furik, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local source.

Thaer Hanani, a member of the Khirbet Tana Land Defense Committee, said that colonists barged their way into Ash-Sheikh Mosque in the locality, wreaked havoc inside, and vandalized a fence surrounding nearby orchards.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
