HEBRON, January 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Several Palestinians on Friday evening suffocated from Israeli army tear gas in Beit Ummar and Beit Ula, north of Hebron, according to a media activist.
Mohammad Awad said that the occupation forces stormed Beit Ummar town, and fired volleys of tear gas canisters, causing several Palestinians to suffocate.
He added that the gun-toting soldiers broke into several houses in the nearby locality of Khirbet al-Qitt, causing destruction.
Meanwhile, the forces conducted a similar raid in Beit Ula town and unleashed barrages of tear gas canisters, resulting in several suffocation cases.
Awad confirmed a similar raid in Kharsa village, south of Dura, where they ransacked a bakery shop and assaulted its owner, resulting in damage.
He also confirmed separate raids in Dura and southern Hebron city, ransacking an olive press, detaining its owner, and assaulting others.
