HEBRON, January 23, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided a home and detained several Palestinian citizens on Friday, following an attack by Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.
Activist Osama Makhamreh told WAFA that a group of colonists assaulted residents and chased them after releasing their livestock near Palestinian homes in the Huwara area of Masafer Yatta.
He added that Israeli forces stormed the area, set up military checkpoints, and detained several residents as they were returning to their homes after Friday prayers.
The forces also raided the home of citizen Adel Al-Hamamda, searching it and tampering with its contents.
Makhamreh said the occupation forces support settler terrorism, punishing residents for trying to confront these assaults and protect their lives and property.
