JENIN, January 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation forces, stormed the evacuated colony of Tarsala, south of Jenin, on Thursday.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces closed the Jenin-Nablus road near the towns of Ajja and Jaba', in preparation for the colonists' incursion.

The sources added that colonists' buses, accompanied by mobile homes, stormed the evacuated settlement of Tarsala, also known as the former settlement of Sanur, near the town of Jaba', south of Jenin. This settlement was evacuated in 2005.

It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation authorities approved the establishment of 22 new colonies in the West Bank last May, including the re-establishment of the colonies of Homesh and Tarsala-Sanur in the Jenin Governorate.
