Israeli forces detain two Palestinians in Hebron as the offensive continues for the 4th consecutive day

HEBRON, January 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians on Thursday during their ongoing military offensive, now in its fourth consecutive day, in Jabal Johar and the southern part of Hebron.

Security sources told WAFA that the occupation forces detained Rabhi al-Rajabi and Muhannad Kayed Ghaith from the southern part of Hebron after raiding their homes, searching them, and ransacking their contents.

The forces also raided and searched a number of homes and shops, harassing the residents and intensifying their siege of the area. These repressive measures included widespread home raids and the deliberate destruction of property, as well as the detention of numerous Palestinians, who were then subjected to abuse. The forces also raided and searched several businesses and shops, damaging their contents after breaking down their doors.

In the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, the occupation forces stormed the town center and spread out in several of its neighborhoods, raided a number of citizens’ homes, tampered with their contents, and deliberately destroyed part of them, and withdrew. No detentions were reported.
