RAMALLAH, January 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces demolished two more homes in the town of Shuqba, west of Ramallah, bringing the total number of homes demolished since Wednesday morning to three.
Adnan Shalash, head of the Shuqba village council, told WAFA by phone that the occupation forces demolished the two-story home of Khaled Abdullah Farah Qadah, which was 200 square meters and housed six people. They also demolished the two-story home of his brother, Farah, which was approximately 380 square meters and housed 11 people.
These demolitions come after the demolition earlier that morning of the four-story home of their brother, Ibrahim Qadah, which was approximately 300 square meters per floor and housed nine people.
He pointed out that the occupation forces had notified the families of the three houses, valued at approximately 13 million shekels, of their impending demolition five years ago. He explained that the families were surprised today when bulldozers stormed the houses and carried out the demolitions without prior warning, despite their continuous attempts over the years to overturn the decision.
According to a report by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, the occupation authorities carried out a total of 538 demolition operations last year, resulting in the destruction of 1,400 structures, including 304 inhabited homes and 74 uninhabited homes, in addition to 270 economic facilities and 490 agricultural facilities. These demolitions were concentrated in the governorates of Hebron, Jerusalem, Ramallah, Tubas, and Nablus.
