Hebron: Israeli forces continue raiding the southern area for the 3rd consecutive day

HEBRON, January 21, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained seven Palestinians from the Hebron district in the southern West Bank on Wednesday, after raiding their homes, searching them, and ransacking their contents amidst cold and rainy weather.

Security and local sources told WAFA that the occupation forces raided the southern area of ​​Hebron city and detained several youths. They also detained a young man from the town of Surif, northwest of Hebron, and took them to an unknown location after severely beating them.

The same sources indicated that for the third consecutive day, the occupation forces have continued to block several secondary roads in the southern area of ​​Hebron city with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds. They also raided and searched several homes, ransacking their contents and assaulting the residents.

The occupation forces also set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron, its towns, villages and camps, and closed a number of main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks and earth barriers.
