SALFIT, January 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation authorities released Abdel Sattar Awad, the secretary-general of the Fatah movement in the Salfit governorate, on Tuesday after four months of detention in occupation prisons.
Israeli forces had detained Awad as part of an ongoing campaign targeting cadres and leaders of the Fatah movement, and within the framework of the occupation’s policy of repression and restrictions against the Palestinian people.
