Central Elections Commission opens 423 field centers for voter registration in West Bank

AL-BIREH, January 20, 2026 (WAFA) - The Central Elections Commission (CEC) announced today, Tuesday, opening the field centers for voter registration in the premises of all local authorities and the CEC’s District Electoral Offices in the West Bank.

The total number of centers is 423, distributed to 420 local authorities across the West Bank, which will work daily from 9 am to 2 pm, including on Friday and Saturday, to facilitate the registration process as well as modify voters’ data.

The CEC noted, in its press release issued today, that the registration centers at the CEC’s District Electoral Offices will work to facilitate the registration of citizens, especially the exceptional cases, including the Gaza Strip citizens residing in the West Bank and the holders of Jerusalemite IDs, registration on behalf of relatives and registration by proxy, as well as changing the address of voting (local authority) for voters.

The CEC further elaborated that the registration centers at the local authorities will work on registering new voters, switching polling centers and updating voters’ data in the voter registry.

The CEC indicated that the online and filed registration stage will continue from today’s morning until the evening of Saturday, January 24, 2026. It will be followed by the stage of voter registry’s exhibition and challenges at the local authorities for 3 days; February 7-9, 2026, followed by the nomination stage for 7 days; February 23, 2026 – March 1, 2026.

The CEC emphasized the importance of all citizens adhering to the defined dates for registration and to make use of the field registration centers to guarantee the registration of correct data, given that registration is a key condition for nomination and voting.
