TUBAS, January 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Tuesday obstructed the work of the Palestinian Central Elections Commission teams in Khirbet Yarza, east of Tubas in the northern West Bank, causing a disruption to voter registration services.
Mohammad Daraghmeh, coordinator of the Tubas electoral district, said that colonists stormed the hamlet and hindered the work of the commission's staff at the voter registration center serving the Yarza community. As a result, registration services and the updating of voters' data were suspended.
He added that the incident prevented the center from opening its doors to citizens, depriving residents of accessing essential electoral services.
