PCBS: sharp increase in wholesale price index by 9.12% during 2025

RAMALLAH, January 20, 2026 (WAFA) – A report by Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) on wholesale price index during 2025 and the fourth quarter of 2025 showed a sharp increase in wholesale price index by 9.12% during 2025.

The overall Wholesale Price Index in Palestine during 2025 recorded a sharp increase by 9.12% compared with 2024 (25.03% for local consumed products and by 1.90% for imported products).

The changes in WPI for 2025 were traced back to changes in prices of the following Division compared with previous year:

Yearly Percent Changes in the Wholesale Price Index in Palestine for: 2014 – 2025

The wholesale price index for the fourth quarter of 2025 declined following the announcement of the ceasefire 

The overall Wholesale Price Index in Palestine during the Fourth Quarter of 2025 recorded a sharp decrease by 19.20% compared with the Third Quarter of 2025 (37.18% for local consumed products, and  by 7.52% for imported products). 

The changes in WPI for the Fourth Quarter of 2025 were traced back to changes in prices of the following Division and Category compared with previous quarter:
