RAMALLAH, January 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces closed the sole entrance to the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, this evening by installing an iron gate and completely blocking it, isolating the village from its surroundings, according to local sources.
Sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the vicinity of the village and closed the main road linking it to the village of Deir Dibwan, preventing the movement of vehicles and residents, which disrupted students’ and employees’ commuting and hindered access for humanitarian cases and patients.
The closure is part of the collective restricting policy pursued by the occupation forces against Palestinian villages and towns, through intensifying military checkpoints and closing entrances, exacerbating citizens’ suffering and restricting their daily lives.
