RAMALLAH, January 19, 2026 (WAFA) – The Central Committee of the Fatah movement held a meeting on Sunday evening at the movement’s Mobilization and Organization headquarters.

The Fatah Central Committee reviewed the work of the Preparatory Committee for the movement’s 8th General Conference in light of the Revolutionary Council’s decision to set the conference date for May 14. It also scheduled the next Preparatory Committee meeting for Thursday to follow up on its work.

Regarding the political situation, the Central Committee stressed the need to launch an inclusive national dialogue based on uniting all parties around the Palestine Liberation Organization as the sole legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, and emphasized that the Palestinian National Authority must continue providing its health, education, administrative, and other services in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
