RAMALLAH, January 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained at least 26 Palestinians, including a minor and a woman, during a series of raids carried out early Monday across several areas of the occupied West Bank, accompanied by home invasions, property damage, and the closure of main and secondary roads.
In the Bethlehem Governorate, nine Palestinians were detained from various areas in Bethlehem after raiding and searching their homes, including residents from al-‘Ubeidiya, al-Ma‘sara, and Wadi Rahhal areas.
In the Hebron Governorate, seven Palestinians, including a 13-year-old minor, were detained from Hebron city, and the towns of Ash-Shuyukh and Sa‘ir, after Israeli forces raided and searched their homes, causing extensive damage to their contents. During the raids, Israeli forces also imposed closures on several neighborhoods in southern Hebron, sealed roads with iron gates and concrete blocks, ransacked homes, and assaulted residents.
Additional military checkpoints were set up at the entrances to the city and surrounding towns, villages, and refugee camps.
In the Nablus area, four young men were detained after Israeli forces stormed the eastern area of the city and raided several homes.
In Tulkarm Governorate, three Palestinians were detained from the towns of ‘Anabta and ‘Attil, following home raids carried out by Israeli forces in the early morning hours.
In the Ramallah area, three Palestinians, including a woman and her adult son, were detained from the Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah. The two were taken into custody in an apparent attempt to pressure her other son to surrender himself. Israeli forces also detained a third man following raids and searches of several homes in the camp.
