JERUSALEM, January 19, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continued to tighten their military measures at the southern Hizmeh checkpoint, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, on Monday.
The Jerusalem Governorate stated in a brief statement that the occupation forces reinforced their military measures at the southern Hizmeh checkpoint, replacing a mobile military post and an iron gate at the checkpoint located at the entrance to the town of Hizmeh. This move aims to tighten military control and restrict the movement of Palestinians.
