RAMALLAH January 18, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces, on Sunday evening, surrounded the old mosque in the village of Kafr Ni’ma, west of Ramallah, and detained several worshippers inside it, during their incursion into the village, according to local sources.

Sources reported that Israeli forces stormed Kafr Ni’ma and fired sound bombs and tear gas canisters in the vicinity of the mosque and inside the village’s neighborhoods, causing a state of fear and panic among residents, especially women and children.

Israeli soldiers tightened their military measures and prevented citizens from approaching the mosque while worshippers were being detained inside, with their number and fate remaining unknown at the time of filing this report.
