TULKARM, January 18, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces, including military vehicles and infantry units, were heavily deployed in various neighborhoods of Tulkarm city on Sunday.
WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces were stationed around the Far'oun Garage in the southern neighborhood, on the city center street, and at the beginning of Haddadin Street. They raided and searched several shops, conducting field interrogations of those inside. They also stopped passing vehicles, preventing them from proceeding, and detained several drivers and pedestrians for questioning. No arrests were reported.
This deployment comes amidst the ongoing Israeli aggression against Tulkarm city and its two refugee camps, now in its 357th consecutive day. The Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps remain under a tight siege, preventing residents from entering them.
Heavy gunfire was also heard throughout the day and night in both camps, as the repercussions of the ongoing aggression continue to worsen, particularly in the Nur Shams camp, which recently witnessed widespread demolition of residential buildings, affecting 25 buildings containing more than 100 homes.
