GAZA, January 17, 2026 (WAFA) — A child and a young man were injured on Saturday evening by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent reported that a child was shot by Israeli forces south of Khan Younis, while a young man was injured east of Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.

The Israeli army also carried out demolitions targeting several residential buildings east of Khan Younis.

Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement, which entered into effect on October 11, 2023. Since the ceasefire started, at least 463 Palestinians have been killed, while 1,269 others have been injured.
