RAMALLAH, January 16, 2026 (WAFA) — A 14-year-old Palestinian boy was killed on Friday by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire in the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, according to local sources.
The sources reported that Israeli forces stormed the village, leading to confrontations during which live ammunition was fired heavily at residents. The attack killed Mohammed Saad Na’san, 14, who was hit in the back and chest.
The sources added that occupation forces also assaulted worshippers as they left Al-Mughayyir West Mosque after Friday prayers, firing stun grenades and tear gas.
Meanwhile, Israeli settlers, protected by occupation forces, intensified their assaults on the village. Since early morning, settler herders have stormed the Khalayel area south of the village, firing live rounds and repeatedly targeting residents and their property.
The attacks included a direct assault by one settler herder against the Abu Hammam family in the same area.
