BEIRUT, January 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Two Lebanese citizens were killed on Friday as a result of Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon, according to the Lebanese National News Agency.

The agency reported that the Public Health Emergency Operations Center at the Ministry of Public Health said an Israeli airstrike targeted a truck in the town of Al-Mansouri, in the Tyre district, killing one Lebanese citizen.

Another Israeli strike carried out overnight targeted a vehicle in the town of Maifadoun, in the Nabatieh district, resulting in the killing of another citizen.
