HEBRON, January 15, 2026 (WAFA) — A Palestinian citizen was injured on Thursday during an attack by Israeli colonists, while another group stormed a school with their livestock in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to local sources.
Osama Makhameh, a local activist, told WAFA that a group of armed Israeli colonists from the Susiya colony, established on Palestinian land in Masafer Yatta, attacked shepherds in the Wadi al-Rakheem area.
The assault resulted in injuries to an elderly man, Mohammed Hussein Shannar, who sustained bruises to his back and was treated at the scene.
In a separate incident, another group of Israeli colonists stormed Al-Fakhit School in Masafer Yatta, driving herds of camels into the schoolyard and facilities near Palestinian homes.
