Occupation forces construct colonial road near Tubas

TUBAS, January 15, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces began constructing a colonial road east of Tammun, south of Tubas, on Thursday.

Moataz Bisharat, the official in charge of the colonies file, said that the occupation forces stormed the area and began constructing a colonial road leading to the settlement of Tammun, which was approved by the Israeli occupation government on land belonging to the town of Tammun.

He added that the occupation forces obstructed the movement of citizens and their access to their agricultural lands in the Atouf Plain.

The occupation forces, accompanied by heavy bulldozers and surveying crews, stormed the Bir al-Ma'yar area, where the occupation had announced its intention to construct the colonial road.

It is worth noting that at the end of last year, the occupation issued a decision to seize hundreds of dunams of Palestinian land to construct a 22-kilometer-long colonial road from Ein Shibli towards the Tayasir checkpoint, passing through the Bir al-Ma'yar area.
