TUBAS, January 14, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday uprooted olive trees to the east of the occupied West Bank city of Tubas, according to a local source.
Mukhles Massa‘id, head of the Khirbet Yarza Village Council, said that colonists stormed one of the localities known as the Khirba, and cut down a Palestinian farmer’s olive trees.
The Khirba is one of the localities in the northern West Bank district of Tubas that have seen an upsurge in Israeli colonist attacks, committed under the watch of occupation forces.
Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
