Civil Society Organizations: Occupation continues its aggression on Gaza despite ceasefire agreement

RAMALLAH, January 12, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network said that the Israeli occupation government continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip at a different pace but with the same objectives, by tightening the siege, maintaining ongoing bombardment, demolishing buildings, and obstructing the entry of humanitarian aid, despite the signing of a ceasefire agreement nearly 90 days ago.

The network explained that the agreement has been turned into a cover for the continuation of the crime of genocide, pointing to the deepening humanitarian catastrophe amid the destruction of displaced persons’ tents, the spread of diseases, and the acute shortage of food and medicine.

It noted that only 23,000 aid trucks have entered the Strip out of 54,000, at a daily average not exceeding 255 trucks, compared to the minimum required 600.

The network called for immediate and binding international intervention to halt all acts of aggression, compel the occupation to respect the ceasefire agreement, and provide urgent international protection for the occupied Palestinian Territory under United Nations supervision, affirming the unity of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and rejecting any attempts to separate them.

It also called for activating the humanitarian protocol governing the entry of aid and expediting the entry of tents and caravans to alleviate the suffering of approximately 1.5 million displaced people, stressing the need to activate the international legal track to pursue the occupation’s leaders over war crimes and genocide.
