RAMALLAH, January 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces closed the iron gate erected on the main road near Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah, on Monday.
Local sources reported that the closure forced hundreds of vehicles to use rough dirt roads to enter and exit Ramallah, causing severe traffic congestion in the Education Directorate area and on the Sarda road.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces tightened the military procedures at the Atara checkpoint north of the city, obstructing the passage of Palestinian vehicles after subjecting them to searches, causing severe traffic congestion in the town of Birzeit.
