GAZA, January 12, 2026 (WAFA) – The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 71,419, while 171,318 others wounded since October 7, 2023.
Medical sources reported on Monday that seven slain people were taken to Gaza Strip hospitals in the past 24 hours, including five whose bodies were recovered, and four wounded.
A number of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue teams have been unable to reach them.
The sources indicated that the total number of slain people since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 442, and the total number of wounded to 1,240, while 697 bodies have been recovered.
They also noted the deaths of a seven-day-old baby girl and a four-year-old boy due to the extreme cold, bringing the number of child deaths from the cold since the beginning of winter to six.
