Seven Palestinians suffocate by tear gas during Israeli military raid on Aqaba north of Tubas

TUBAS, January 6, 2026 (WAFA) – At least seven Palestinian citizens suffocated by tear gas and were assaulted on Tuesday evening during an Israeli forces’ raid on the town of Aqaba, north of Tubas, according to a medical official.

Director of Ambulance and Emergency Services in Tubas Nidal Ouda said ambulance crews treated six cases of suffocation caused by tear gas inhalation, as well as one injury sustained after being assaulted by Israeli soldiers.

Israeli forces raided the town of Aqaba with several military vehicles, firing sound bombs and tear gas canisters during the raid. Earlier, Israeli forces raided the city of Tubas amid the firing of sound bombs.
