HEBRON, January 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Armed colonists bulldozed, on Monday, large tracts of Palestinian citizens’ lands in the town of Adh Dhahiriya, south of Hebron, and began paving a new colonial road.
WAFA correspondent reported that a group of armed colonists started opening a new colonial road on lands owned by the Abu Sharkh family in the al-Deir area, southeast of Adh Dhahiriya. The road branches off from a colonial road that Israeli occupation forces paved on Palestinian citizens’ lands in the same area about ten days ago.
Nearly ten days earlier, Israeli forces started opening a colonial road stretching over six kilometers from east to west, cutting through areas that have lately been subjected to repeated incursions by groups of colonists.
Citizen Mohammad Abu Sharkh said that immediately after Israeli forces completed and opened the road, colonists proceeded to pave another road extending from it toward a nearby hill, as a prelude to seizing it.
Meanwhile, colonists stormed, on Monday evening, Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley.
Local sources reported that a group of colonists broke into Khirbet Samra and attempted to steal livestock before being confronted by the residents.
The area has recently seen a marked escalation in colonists’ attacks, carried out under the protection of the occupation army, targeting citizens and their property in the occupied Palestinian Territory.
