BETHLEHEM, January 4, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists began on Sunday to fence off land in the town of Tuqu', southeast of Bethlehem, with the aim of seizing it, according to local sources.
Taysir Abu Mufarreh, the head of the Tuqu' Village Council, informed WAFA that a group of colonists stormed an area northeast of the town, and started erecting a fence with barbed wire around a 15-dunum plot of land planted with olive trees.
The land belongs to the Al-Asakra family and is located just meters away from local residents' homes.
