BEIRUT, January 2, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli warplanes launched several intense airstrikes today targeting areas and towns in southern Lebanon.
WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli fighter jets fired multiple rockets at the Aaqmata Plain, the outskirts of Al-Rihaniyah in the Al-Rihaniyah Mountain region, and the area between the towns of Ansar and Zrarieh. Additionally, the valley between the towns of Kafra and Azza near the city of Nabatieh was hit by three separate airstrikes.
The National News Agency confirmed that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on the Hafara area near the town of Ayta al-Shaab. Israeli warplanes were also seen flying at low altitudes over the city of Baalbek in the Bekaa region and the surrounding villages.
