SALFIT, January 2, 2026 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli colonists stormed a mosque on Friday in the town of Deir Ballut, in the central West bank district of Salfit.

Local sources reported that the colonists broke into the Al-Salam Mosque, ransacked its contents, and obstructed Palestinian traffic by blocking the roads leading to the town’s junction.

This attack is part of a broader campaign of increasing settler violence targeting Palestinian citizens and their properties in the Salfit governorate, particularly religious sites.
