BETHLEHEM, January 2, 2026 (WAFA) – A group of Israeli colonists on Friday attacked Palestinian homes in the Khalayel al-Lawz area, southeast of Bethlehem, according to local sources.
The sources told WAFA that the colonists hurled stones at the homes, besieging the area and causing widespread fear among the residents, particularly children.
The attack occurred under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, who fired stun grenades and tear gas at the homes, causing several residents to suffer from suffocation. The forces later sealed off the area completely.
Khalayel al-Lawz has been subjected to frequent attacks by Israeli colonists, including land invasions, tree cutting, and preventing farmers from accessing their land. These assaults are part of an ongoing effort to seize the area for the benefit of nearby Israeli settlements.
