Israeli forces detain three Palestinians, raid homes in Hebron

HEBRON, January 2, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Friday detained three Palestinians and raided several homes across various areas of the Hebron governorate in the southern West Bank, according to Palestinian security sources.

The sources reported that Israeli forces detained Fawzi Saleem Abu Sabih from the Um al-Daliya area in Hebron city, and Ahmad Yaser al-Masalma from the town of Dier Samet, southwest of Hebron, as they were passing through the Container military checkpoint. Additionally, Ibrahim Younis al-Salameen from the town of Samu' in the southern Hebron district was detained following a raid on his family’s home, during which the soldiers searched and ransacked the house.

Israeli forces also stormed the towns of Dura and Halhul in the Hebron district, raiding and searching several homes and ransacking their contents, although no detentions were reported from these areas.
