BETHLEHEM, January 01, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Tuqu' in the southeastern part of Bethlehem district in the occupied West Bank on Thursday evening, leading to confrontations between the soldiers and residents, according to local sources.
Taysir Abu Mufarreh, the head of Tuqu' Municipal Council, told WAFA that a group of Israeli soldiers stormed the town through its western entrance. This led to confrontations, during which soldiers fired live ammunition, as well as tear gas and stun grenades. No casualties have been reported so far.
