JERUSALEM, December 30, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces on Tuesday assaulted a young Palestinian man in the East Jerusalem town of Silwan, according to local sources.
Sources reported that Israeli forces physically assaulted and briefly detained the young man as he was passing through Al-Ain Street in the town, coinciding with a temporary closure of the street and a ban on vehicle traffic.
In a related development, Israeli forces tightened procedures at Jaba’ military checkpoint north of the city and temporarily closed it, causing a traffic jam in the area.
