HEBRON, December 28, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces closed the entrance to Shuhada Street in central Hebron on Sunday, as students were leaving their schools.
Emad Abu Shamsiyeh, an activist with Israeli rights group B’Tselem, said the military has been blocking the checkpoint leading to Shuhada Street and the Tel Rumeida area daily for the past two weeks during school exit hours.
Abu Shamsiyeh added that the closures are part of a deliberate plan to intimidate students and residents, pressuring them to abandon their schools and homes, as part of broader colonial and expansionist objectives in the area.
