RAMALLAH, December 28, 2025 (WAFA) — Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa made on Sunday a phone call with Qabatiya Mayor Ahmad Zakarneh to check on the situation in the town, located south of Jenin, in the aftermath of a wide-scale Israeli incursion that lasted for two days.

During the call, the prime minister issued instructions to relevant government institutions, departments, and emergency committees to immediately respond to the consequences of the assault. He directed them to mobilize all available resources to address damage to infrastructure and private property and to restore public services, with particular emphasis on resuming regular school education in the town.

Israeli forces imposed a tight siege on Qabatiya on Friday evening, which included a massive detention campaign, forced displacement of dozens of residents, seizure of homes, and widespread destruction of infrastructure.
