RAMALLAH, December 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces have closed the entrances to several villages and towns north and west of Ramallah since the early hours of Saturday, causing severe traffic jam and disturbing the movement of Palestinians
Local sources said that Israeli troops closed the main gate to the village of Ni'lin, preventing residents and vehicles from entering or leaving. Simultaneously, the soldiers also shut down the gate leading to the village of Kharbatha Bani Harith, barring access in and out, causing traffic congestion in the area.
Earlier today, Israeli forces closed the Atara military checkpoint, disrupting the movement of Palestinians, especially those traveling to and from villages and towns northwest and west of Ramallah, and from the northern governorates.
According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission last October, the total number of permanent and temporary checkpoints dividing the Palestinian territories reached 916, including military checkpoints and gates, of which 243 iron gates were erected after October 7, 2023.
