RAMALLAH, December 27, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli forces closed on Saturday morning the Atara military checkpoint, north of Ramallah.

According to WAFA correspondent, the checkpoint has been shut down since the early hours, causing disruption to the movement of Palestinians, particularly those traveling to and from villages and towns northwest and west of Ramallah, as well as those heading to the northern West Bank.

According to a report issued by the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission last October, the total number of permanent and temporary checkpoints dividing the Palestinian territories reached 916, including both military checkpoints and gates.
