GAZA, December 26, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli warplanes carried out intense airstrikes early on Friday east of the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, as artillery shelling and demolitions continued across eastern areas of the enclave.
Local sources said at least four airstrikes targeted eastern and southern parts of Khan Younis, coinciding with heavy gunfire from Israeli helicopters and military vehicles positioned east and south of the city.
In Gaza City, Israeli forces carried out widespread demolitions, destroying homes in the eastern neighborhoods, while warplanes also launched an airstrike targeting the same areas.
In Rafah, Israeli helicopters opened heavy fire on residential neighborhoods, while Israeli naval boats fired intensively into the waters off the coast of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Since the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on October 10, at least 406 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,118 others wounded in continued Israeli attacks.
